A new brand〈MAAI〉for adult women who live lightly in the city will launch on Saturday, September 19, along with its first pop-up store, “MAAI MARCHE,” at CONTRAST. What 〈MAAI〉 values is the idea that style is not completed by clothing alone, but is created from the individuality and sensibility of the person wearing it, their mood of the day, and unexpected encounters. As a place to experience this worldview, the pop-up shop “MAAI MARCHE” will be held. Like a flea market you might casually stop by while traveling in Europe, these five days will be an opportunity to choose things you like based on your own sensibility and enjoy unexpected encounters with people and objects. At the venue, various contents that allow visitors to experience the brand’s worldview will be presented, including the first collection. About CONTRAST
In 2022, CONTRAST opened as a creative space in Yoyogi-Hachiman, Tokyo. The interior, based on a 45-year-old structure, consists of three floors under the concept of "reconstruction," and is managed by IN FOCUS, a digital branding studio that operates under the theme of "We propose new perspectives through a collective pursuit of digital excellence.". The space not only serves as its own creative space but also aims to be widely open to the public, providing a space for continuous and experimental reconstruction by its users, breaking free from limitations. Focusing on various forms of expression and encountering the creators who produce them, we will come to understand the importance of "CONTRAST = comparison" in our endeavors.
